Pašman is a settlement located across the way from the islet of Babac in the Pašman Channel. From the beach, one has an unforgettable view of the numerous, mostly uninhabited islets which are best explored by means of a private boat or yacht. Pašman has two san beaches and several ports with secure moorings.
It has been inhabited since Roman times, while it was first mentioned under the name "Postimana" by King Petar Krešimir IV in documents from 1067.
Mediterranean climate is responsible for the growth of rich flora and fauna, many species of medicinal and aromatic plants and also the submarine world hides all kinds of shells and fish of the Croatian Adriatic.The majority of 2044 inhabitants traditionally made their living from fishing and agriculture and they have recently become active in tourism.
The restaurants on the island of Pašman offer all kinds of meat and fish dishes and specialties suitable for the climate, accompanied by shellfish from the famous Pašman channel. Cafés offer refreshments such as cold beverages, ice cream and different types of pastry, which you can enjoy listening to nice quiet music, and in some cafés you can dance on the terrace as well. |
